Terms and Conditions

  • Confirmation of booking will only occur after an initial 'free' meet and greet with the owner and the 'Pet and Owner Information Sheet' completed and signed by the owner

  • All dogs will undergo a trial period to ensure they are adequately trained, socilaised and safe to walk.

  • Unleashed must be made aware of any behavioural problem/s of the dog/s by the owner at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the contract.

  • Your dog must not be known to chew furniture or house fittings under normal circumstances. If your dog becomes destructive then you will be liable for any damage to Unleashed home or property. This should be an unlikely occurrence as it can be avoided by ensuring complete honesty about your dog and advising Unleashed of any issues at the 'meet and greet'.

  • If your dog becomes destructive or aggressive during their stay we reserve the right to contact your emergency contact and ask that they come and collect your dog. If this is not possible, Unleashed reserves the right to put your dog in secure external kennels.

  • External kennelling will incur extra costs at any external kennels with transportation fees also incurred.

  • Unleashed shall not be obliged to perform any duties (including medical care) if an owners dog should bite another person or animal.

  • The owner is responsible for any veterinary bills no matter how they incurred whilst the dog/s are in the care of Unleashed.

  • Unleashed will care for your dog as you would and whilst every effort is made to ensure  your dogs health and safety, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to an animal whilst in the care of Unleashed.

  • In the unlikely event of your pet dying whilst in the care of Unleashed, it is Unleashed policy to store your pets remains in cold storage at a local veterinary centre until you return. Unleashed will not inform you of the death of your pet whilst you are away, but if you would like to be informed of your pets death or would like different arrangements to be made in the unlikely event please inform Unleashed in writing prior to bringing your pet for boarding. This cost will be incurred by the owner.

  • Kennel Cough - this is caused by an airborne infection and thus outside the control of Unleased. Unleashed will never knowingly accept a dog with the condition, but as incubation can exceed 10 days it may not be detected prior to arrival.. THE OWNER therefore accepts that this hazard exists, especially at busy times. We recommend  vaccination against Kennel Cough before your dogs stay, but as this is a virus very like the common cold and there are many strains, please be aware that your dog may still be vulnerable.

  • We ask that that the owner informs us of ANY illnesses or medical conditions at the time of 'meet and greet', on the booking form and at the dogs delivery for their stay/walk. Unleashed reserves the right to refuse taking a dog that is unwell or has a contagious disease. Unleashed requests that the owner informs us of any illnesses and we can work together with the owners vet to make an assessment of the dogs health. Unleashed reserves the right to cancel any booking if they feel a dog may be carrying a contagious disease (this does not apply to dogs who require  the administration of medication for non- contagious conditions whilst in Unleashed care.

  • Unleashed will inform the owner of any incident or anything noticed about the dog that as the dog owner you should know (and an incident form completed).

  • Unleashed will carry Public Liability Insurance, although pets should be insured by the owner and we reserve the right to refuse a booking for any dog which is not insured.

  • Unleashed cannot be held responsible for any complications dogs may suffer or actions of dogs whilst they are attended.

  • Unleashed warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, access codes and personal information of the owner at all times.

  • The owner authorises Unleashed  to obtain any services of a locksmith should a key/garage opener malfunction. The owner is responsible for all charges.

  • Unleashed cannot be held responsible for your dog or home  if another service provider enters your property whist Unleashed are not there.

  • By law ( Control of Dogs Order 1992), all dogs MUST wear a collar with an ID tag around their necks- with the name/address/postcode of owner.- but NOT the dogs name to avoid chances of dogs theft (Unleashed will supply an additional tag with contact details of Unleashed for added security).

  • By law- in effect from April 2016; all dogs MUST be microchipped.

  • All dogs boarded or walked MUST be fully vaccinated and up-to-date with their flea and de-wormer regime (copies of your dogs vaccination record MUST be given - failure to provide will prevent your dog/s from being walked/boarded).

  • Puppies must have completed two weeks after their initial vaccinations before walked/boarding can commence.

  • Boarding of dogs under 12 months-dependent upon if fully house trained and assessed independentlyif suitable.

  • Transporting your dog: To ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of your dog (Highway Code - Rule 57); he/she will need to be secured with  safety harness attached to their individual cage (K9 fitted and approved). You agree to give permission for your dog to be transported (insurance in place to include 'pet taxi') and secured to a cage and accept responsibility for the make/model of harness if an accident should result of the harness used. Where possible, please ensure you supply the correct size/ fit  of dog safety harness.

  • Dogs will have access to fresh drinking water at all times and never to left unattended n the vehicle - only at drop off/collection destinations.

  • The dog transporting vehicle (formerly from Dogs Trust) is professionally fitted with air conditioned compartments, LED lighting systems and non slip rubber surface with secure fittings/fixtures.

  • If you have an unneutered bitch and she is likely to come into season during the walking/boarding then Unleashed will endeavour to keep your dog away from unwelcome attention by other dogs when out on exercise. However, Unleashed will not be held responsible if any pregnancy occurs but will inform you or your emergency contact of any problems encountered during the period of walking / home boarding so veterinary advice be sought.

  • Unleashed reserves the right to walk other compatible at the same time but undertakes to limit the number of dogs walked to five (insurance to cover six)..

  • For boarding, it is recommended that owner and dog/s visit Unleashed before booking is confirmed and that any resident dog/s are familiarised with each other and other dogs booked at the same time to ensure compatibility (written agreement in place).

  • Unleashed will supply bags and clear up mess and ensure that your dog does not foul any public or private place.

  • Unleashed will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk if necessary due to extreme weather for the safety of the dog/s and Unleashed .In cases like these, every attempt will be made to exercise and stimulate your dog in a safe environment - for example -at home/garden as a contingency plan.

  • All dogs will be walked on a lead unless prior agreement has been made and a disclaimer form has been signed.

  • Payment Terms (June 2022)

  • 1 hour group  walk - £12/ Dog Boarding - £25 per night/ Doggy Daycare - £22 per day

  • Doggy Daycare hours between 8am - 6pm - if the hours exceed 10 hours -add 1.50 per hour.

  •  Should the stay be extended for any reason, extra days will be charged at the daily rate. If the stay is curtailed, the full price remains payable, but Unleashed (at their discretion), may offer a refund for unused days, except during busy periods where it is not possible to re-allocate accommodation.

  • If you or Unleashed have any concerns about how your dogs will settle in and where there is a resident dog then a trial stay is recommended (minimum of overnight) at the standard rate.

  • For an additional dog in the same household, or walked, there is a 50% discount on standard charges.

  • For  Sundays and Bank Holidays add 25%. to standard rate (for weekend bookings only - NOT part of extended booking/Does NOT include 2 dogs from the same household)

  • A deposit of 25% of the total fee will be due at the time of booking in order to reserve your dogs place(boarding only)

  • Deposits are only refunded in exceptional circumstances and this will be judged on an individual basis.

  • Unleashed reserve the right to impose a £2.50 initial late fee if a payment is more than 3 days overdue, then 0.50 charged on a daily basis from the 4th day until payment is received in full.

  • You may cancel your booking slot and and provided you give a minimum of 48 hours notice, you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the walk commencing, the full rate will be charged (only exception to this would be in the case of serious illness and exceptional circumstances, that will be judged on an individual basis).

  • For boarding, in the event of a cancellation, you must notify Unleashed 2 weeks in advance of the planned start date of boarding to avoid cancellation charges. Cancellations made later than this will be subject to 100% of the total cost (only exception to this would be in the case of serious illness or airline/ holiday firm failure).

  • A no - show is the term used for a booking where you have failed to present your pet/s for boarding within 48 hours of the first day of your  booking. In this instance you agree that your booking will be cancelled. You further agree that you will be liable in full for all boarding fees and agree to pay o  receipt of our invoice.

  • Unleashed reserves the right to cancel a contract at any time with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and /or other dogs or if the dog displays aggressive behaviour.

  • Your booking time is estimated only and whilst every effort to arrive at the time given, depending on road conditions and un-forseen circumstances, please allow approximately 30 minutes after your booked time slot for Unleashed to attend. In adverse weather conditions, please understand that we are still open and may be slightly delayed. if, however, we are more than 2 hours overdue then Unleashed will refund 50% of the walk.

  • If Joanne Eytier of Unleashed pet services is taken ill either during or before a booking, then you will be advised as soon as possible so you can make alternative arrangements. Unleashed will not be held financially responsible if alternative arrangements cannot be made for the period of your holiday/walking days.

  • This dog walking and boarding Terms and Conditions can be terminated when either party gives 7 days written notice of termination.
